If everyone would have taken then hint when the ENY limiter came out, and started balancing the sides then, we might not be having this problem now.

The current setup has its ups and downs, but over all.. I've had more fun since the change, then I did for a long time before it. At first I was against it because of the whole squad thing too, but then I realized how easy it is to type .f to find out where my squaddies were, and that you can still talk to squaddies if they are in different arenas.

Accept it, it's just the way it is...

A couple experiences int he last two days.
1) I logged into an arena and I was the 8th person in the arena.
I was the only one on my side and there was another side with one person. The other 6 were on the remaining side. How could the 6 find any fun in that???
2) After a map change in an arenaone side grouped up and had a large attack on one of our bases. We tried to make a fight and defend the big group. Most of our people were on the other side of the map going after a lightly defended base.

I like the change to many MAs but we still have a hard core group of people that will not even things out.
It isn't HTC or the changes they made that frustrate me, it's the people who login and stay in the same rut.
AH has so many different things to offer and some just wont try anything else.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

When you have to many people in 1 place pier presure no longer is a control on peoples behavior. Once pier pressure is no longer a control, people will start to exibit hostille behavior to each other, (in esence overcrowding).

What was happening in the old MA is the same thing we see in life, I'm law emforcement in a collage town, over the past 10 years the young people have become more hostille and nasty. I think we have seen this spill over into the game also. don't have the numbers but would guess that the age of the players in here the last couple of years has gone down 5-7 years. this would by it's self have a effect on the behavior in the game. I do not think that the changes will effect the hostille behavior in the long run. We can't even deal with  the problem in real life.
To alot of people, pier prssure means nothing in the world of today .

Those guys may not want to even things out. It's not our place to tell another player what to do reguardless of our veiws on game play. It's their money after all. Let them fly how they choose.

the maps are a kick in the face....i used to look forward to seeing what map might be up when i logged in.

IE:

my squad is now divided....half in one arena and half in another. we actually enjoy flying together and even if we're scattered about the map the commraderey was always a nice part of the game. soemone might have a funny story about what happened that day at work and you have 8 or 9 guys sitting at thier desks in all parts of the world laughing together. we have already lost several members just because the game is no longer enticing. cruising ebay has more appeal...never know what you might find.

there are no places to fight with 3 on 3...it's nothing but hoards at any base thats close to an NME base. i'm not even going to elaborate on this one.

the ENY is a farse...it does not stop the hoards, it does not create a balance. it just takes away your favote ride. i rather up my favorite ride from a base further back than not have it at all...lets say something along lines that there are anly a certain number of planes at any given field as opposed to.." no little johny...God took all the P51's away". even AW got that one right...if too many people upped from a field you had to up from a different field...and this was nice because it moved the action around the map,,,although you need a map to move around in. and if you were intent on still going to that NME base it broke up the hoards.

the maps are sickening. with the large maps at least you could go and stir an NME field and get a small confrontation. you could go and find a nice little gv war some where. you could change things up and get your squad together and find something else to do on the map. now we have been given one new map that i will not describe here what i think of it....i'd say it's along the lines that i used have an awsome garage with lots of tools that i could make things, fix things and use all my nice tools. now i have 6x6 shed with no heat and it's so jammed up with half my nice tools that you couldn't even use a screwdriver. oh and the other half of my nice tools are under a tarp rusting.

i took the summer off from the game and was looking forward to having a renewed vigor towards the game and i feel nothing but frustration and the game is no longer fun.

i'm checking out other venues. i don't even want to log in anymore. what WAS an awsome game when i came over from AW has not only stagnated it has regressed to exactly what AW was.

oh look...a good show is on TV. now thats interesting....gotta log...see ya!!!!!!!!!!!

if your bored...take up surfing...hang loose brudda!!!!!!!!!!

Reacher, I have to agree with you. I have read and posted about this and the conclusion was (from Hitech) that AH is suffering from lack of pier

pressure (IE people becoming more aggressive towards each other because pier pressure looses its control in an overpopulated arena, where

a smaller population tends to get along better). Ok, I can understand that conclusion and it makes sense but my problem is with the solution that

was devised to overcome the problem. By solving the aggression, pier pressure issues you have created several more and the trade off just isn’t

worth it, to me anyway. This one solution destroys my reasons for being here in the first place. Squads, eny values, maps, exciting game play,

buddy contacts, large missions, multiple head-to-head action, busy arenas, and everything my squad enjoyed. Yeah, I know, some bleeding heart is

going to post here crying about how they get shot down all the time, and I just can’t take it anymore and how this new setup has enriched their

experience and blah blah blah. To be honest about it, I just don’t care. Go find another game that better fits your reasons for gaming on line. I mean,

I see you posting in here but it’s very hard to find you in numbers that would amount to anything in the arenas and I have been asking everyone

through the country text. IMHO I believe there is another solution that would achieve the same resolve that Hitech wants to accomplish. It’s got

to be tuff to have to make a decision like this and spend the next several weeks defending your position. My hats off to the AH guys. I truly believe

you are looking for a better way for everyone. I think you would achieve the same goal by creating a buddy list that would only allow individuals to

speak with people on their list. Limit it to 200 and you have your controlled environment. Do away with channel 200 and lets move on to the AH game

we have all come to let control our ever waking obviously meager lives. (just kidding guys) Any concept along these lines would be better suited

among the population and we don’t loose the most valuable aspects of your original creation. Keep the other arenas for individual taste and game

play but don’t take our MTV. Can’t you see how it’s destroying the very fabric of humanity? Well, maybe not that bad but it still sucks. Last night I

spent two hours in the DA with the only squad mate I could find out of boredom. Tonight is going to be real interesting as it is squad night for us

and NO, we don’t want to go to an unpopulated arena and fly other planes with our squad being 80% of the arena population. Where’s the fun in

that. Their has got to be a better solution.  :furious

wow, we've gone from wall of text to stuttering overuse of paragraphs lol

but  its funny if its meant that way :aok

About five months ago I came over here from F4AF after someone posted on the F4 forums about AH (word of mouth). We had just seen a major update and a lot of my squad there had problems machine related that was causing them to lose interest. The hosts for F4 became buggy for on thing and the last patch had a bug that killed network play for a while. Thats been fixed now. Im still a member of the IDFL and one of the finest squads in F4AF.

I stuck with AH because of the sick puppies who joined me up the first night I was on. I like it here and I started helping pups with combat tactics and angle concepts. Once a week or so we used to go into the training arena and sometimes we still do but the way the hosts are setup makes that tough at times. If you leave the host you might not get back in. Some of our guys like the EW and MW arenas. Most of us want to stay in the LW because the P51D is our squad plane. Some of our guys cuss the pony but stick to it because of what Ive shown them and because its a squad thing.

The small maps turn my stomach its a fact. Weve seen way too much of them. We still see hoards and we still have eny problems. I still pay the monthly dues just so I can kill la7s and hoers in their nikis and vulchers in their tempests and even the stick stirring 190s and you know who you are.

Im here because of the sick puppies and not because the game lights my fire. Im here because of the P51D and not the EW and MW arenas. Take them both away and Ill still have the IDFL and F4AF.
