ok, nice to have the change... hopefully it works out...

However: what is the MIN players LW (or AH as a whole) sees offpeak? the lowest ive seen is 100ish. Surely something around half that figure would be a better place to start the caps?

reason:
as you've said you're self, the "horde" always joins the bigest numbers, and that surely means that LW1 will have 200, while LW2 will have 0. Then, comes the point when people need to start joining LW2 even though its empty. this is where the whines start.

IF the cap started at 60 (just an example) there would be two arenas with 60ish people within, and never the point of a empty server and people having to be the first to join it and sitting there to wait, with no game to play?

catch what im trying to say?

maybe the new arena naming voids the point i was trying to make.. i dunno, will see how it goes.

thanks for the .sr command

my gripe was there is about 120-140 people online between noon, and 6pm (when us numbers really start to pick up). this ment we had LW1 full, and the rest rather empty... meaning we had no way of getting into anything "big".

This change just moves the "problem" to later in the day, once it reaches 200, the players only have the almost empty server to join...so its removing the problem from the noon-6pm players, but moving it to the 6pm-8pm players.

Really dont know yet however, as the arena name change might have changed that itself.

lets see how it goes

Last edit:

PS: Hitech.... how about a period of stability now? so many changes in so few weeks :) :aok

I think they are trying to do (within bounderies) what people ask from them.

I agree with Soulyss. HTC has stated their *reasons* for the changes. And thinking back to the BBS then, the "battle" between Furballers/Strat, the crys about numbers, etc etc etc (im not going to list everything here) had reached an almost nutolerable level. Eveyone asked HTC to DO something and they did. I really wish people would stop posting/complaining and start *playing* again.

i think they didnt properly think out the possible results of the first change, and have had to do many changes/tweaks since, to try and work (force) it the way they planned. Been a bit of a botched up job if you ask me.

Thats your opinion. I have another. (Not wanting to change yours)

But i still fail to see how continued whining, insulting HTC and each other is helping any.

its how the changes happen isnt it? some whine about gameplay and MA, HT agreeing, changing, changes annoy more people so they whine, HT changes a few things to help the whiners, and things start to settle.

stability now is the key to reducing the whines..... at least in my mind

That and some adult conduct. Im not saying dont voice your opinions.... but i think whats been going on the last few days had little to do with civil voicing of opinions for some people. Its been worse then the TA when schools out.
