We made a change today in the arena caps. Between Midnight and noon Central time the starting arena caps for the LW arenas have been raised from 120 to 200.
This after noon we will be adding a .sr "Squad roster" command to display what arenas and who of your squad are online.
HiTech
ok, nice to have the change... hopefully it works out...
However: what is the MIN players LW (or AH as a whole) sees offpeak? the lowest ive seen is 100ish. Surely something around half that figure would be a better place to start the caps?
reason:as you've said you're self, the "horde" always joins the bigest numbers, and that surely means that LW1 will have 200, while LW2 will have 0. Then, comes the point when people need to start joining LW2 even though its empty. this is where the whines start.
IF the cap started at 60 (just an example) there would be two arenas with 60ish people within, and never the point of a empty server and people having to be the first to join it and sitting there to wait, with no game to play?
catch what im trying to say?
maybe the new arena naming voids the point i was trying to make.. i dunno, will see how it goes.
thanks for the .sr command

Who knows, I've given up even trying to understand some of the recent 'enhancements' for gameplay.
my gripe was there is about 120-140 people online between noon, and 6pm (when us numbers really start to pick up). this ment we had LW1 full, and the rest rather empty... meaning we had no way of getting into anything "big".
This change just moves the "problem" to later in the day, once it reaches 200, the players only have the almost empty server to join...so its removing the problem from the noon-6pm players, but moving it to the 6pm-8pm players.
Really dont know yet however, as the arena name change might have changed that itself.
lets see how it goes

PS: Hitech.... how about a period of stability now? so many changes in so few weeks
