oh, and I didn't even come close to straining my voice. I wasn't even singing loud or hard at all.

It was just an idea that I came up with and recorded. I have hundreds of ideas recorded just like that. Usually I play guitar at the same time though.

When I have time, I go through them and record the ones I like and make them into complete songs.

Post more of your works. I, for one, am left only in want of more after that little taste you gave us.

So I d/l the song to see what everybody is talking about.

It was horrible.

The singer show's little to no real talent, and obviously has never taken voice lessons of any sort.  They show little to no clue as to what they are doing.

Out of tune for most of the song.  No concept of what key they were in.  The only time they sounded "ok" was when they did little voice "tricks" like makin' it sound all rough, and even then they pushed it to hard and were out of tune.  The part's with straight singing, i.e. just trying to hit notes, nothing fancy, were terrible.

All in all I give it a 2.

I can only think of a few thousand people that I have heard do better.

The singer wouldn't actually make the cut in my church choir from what I heard on that clip.

"yeah yeah yeah"
(don't get me started on the lyrics)

(p.s. don't quit singing.  Practice practice practice.  With proper lessons, and some work, you could be an "decent" singer eventually)
"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."
— George Patton

Thank you so much. My works are vast and expanding and people like you inspire me to produce.

I have another one that I will record in a moment. It's good to keep fresh.

It's working title will be "Move'n a Mountain" and I will try to post it tonight.

It sounded like a mixture of Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, and mashed cat.
