That wasn't a troll I was trying to end this thread with what it was about. Letterman called O'Reilly uncaring and so everyone had their 2 seconds of chuckling and they went on their way. There's really no need for this intense of a discussion over this little event.

I dont think the question should be "Do you want America to win in Iraq."

Heck, even the most hardcore anti-war people want us to be successful. They just define "win" in a way that turns some people's stomachs. Mine included.

The question should be "If the President and military leaders unite behind a plan for Iraq, will you support them until we reach the goals we have set to win."

In this case, "win" is defined by only one POV, and cant be twisted to mean whatever the person answering wants it to mean. Answer yes, or no.

As for what we SHOULD be doing over there, I think we've debated that into the ground already. Several times. That horse is glue already.

Was that during the commercial? All I saw was Dave getting flustered and resorting to insults because he couldnt answer a simple question.

He manipulated Maher into saying things I think Maher really didn't want to say. I agree though, he did it without much apparent effort.
