Is the lightning random and strikes instead of staying there doing nothing?

It is based on maxdist and mindist-  it will show up only for a short period when you are moving. There is also more of them placed around the map.

Ahh, very nice, I still don't know how to make an object using only a bitmap, and the editor makes the object's faces for you.

Denholm,

You can tell to the OE/TE/game which color in object texture pallet will be a transparent.

Example
Export from OE the GRASS1 object. Open the 'export' folder and check what did you get this time.

There are three GRASS1 files
- GRASS1.ac
- GRASS1.bmp
- GRASS1_a.txt

Two first are clear but third is new. The text file contains the index number, which tells which 'GRASS1.bmp' texture color should tread as a transparent.

HTC seems to use the pink (R=255, G=0, B=255) for the transparent.

Actually, i find it more easy to use alpha texture instead of just "pink" .
When i used pink color as transparent in texture i would still get a hit when shooting on transparent part in game, but with alpha texture bullet would just pass trough, which is what you would want, of course.

I think the alpha txt and "pink" should work as well, as long as the object includes the "StencilAlpha=1" tag.

Thanks for that info guys, so I practically make one huge face, add the bitmap, make my background color the "transparent" color as is defined by the .txt file, then convert it in the OE?
