they sure got them country boys up there North Florida, thats for sure... I was visiting somebody up there, and he introduced me to his neighbor who lived a mile away down this red clay road. The guy made coo-coo clocks for a living. He wore coveralls and had orange tobacco stains on his lower lip from chewing tobacco. He was showing me around his pole barn where he had all kinds of exotic woods stacked all over for making the coo coo clocks.
I saw some weird kind of wood planks stacked there that had squiggly lines in it. I never saw that kind of wood before, and I asked the dude what kind of wood it was. He said, "Ats swarmy wood." I said "What the heck is swarmy wood.?" He said, "You know, s'got warms in it. They make them little lines from boring into it." I said, "Oh."

The guy really did fine work on those clocks though.
