Messing with a few things for wear dirt and chips. Kudos to greebo for the template im so lazy.:lol

Our F4F is an F4F-4. The aircraft in the photo is a -3.

Check the roundel placement on F-1 from the picture, looks like it needs to be more inboard.

Normally I don't comment too much on USN planes (I have no base for comment, little knowledge of the arena), however as a small detail I'll point out:

You might have made the shadows on the control surfaces too hard. Look at the photo and see the perfectly smooth, unblemished ailerons. They may have been covered, but you couldn't tell from the outside. Not a single shadow or highlight and from that angle and with that much sun you'd see *something* in the photo. So as a compromise I'd make your shadows very subtle.
