Krypto, you've brought back some memories. I was an instructor there in the 1st ATB (HHC 2-81 AR) from 1997-2000. When were those pics taken?

I don't think that dead coast guardsman needs to be on here.

Of course the most famous ;)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Krypto,

I did my own time there at Disney Barracks in 1981...your post brought back lots of old memories.

I came out of there as a 19E...and later that MOS became 19K.

26 years later, I'm still in, and I recently returned from 14 months in Iraq, part of that time was spent at Ramadi in Al Anbar province with the 2nd Marine Division.

Salute!

To absent friends and comrades...

I dissagree.
How can you have the best war photos and not include the true heros of the war?
The ones that gave all.

If we are going to glorify it by posting the best pictures.
Should also post the cost of that glory
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
