Allow me to rephrase it to fit our board;

If you want to create the heat, then you should stay outta the board.

That's better.

I didn't create any heat. Chariboy linked a vehemently anti conservative/republican rant and became outraged that his neutrality was questioned. Wasn't the first time he linked crap like that.

So, you do not like it, so he should not post it.  eh?

Sorry, it does not work like that.  As long as the topic does not violate the rules of this board it is allowed.  Just because you do not like it does not grant you the right to attempt to wreck it.

As a matter of fact, those who would wreck a thread are the ones who would be asked to leave this board.  If you do not like the thread, or have nothing positive to contribute, and you post in it anyways, you will probably be in the wrong.

99% of what is wrong with any thread on this board can be directly atributed to those who cannot control thier fingers.  I think it is time to consider weeding those people out of here.

I don't mind him posting what he wants Skuzzy. If he is going to make inflamatory posts he should expect some heat is all I was trying to say with the heat and kitchen reference. Obviously I've commented too much and will restrict my conversations to those with whom I can converse more positively.

What is inflammatory to you may not be inflammatory to someone else.

And lukster, while I have been using 'you' in my posts here, I was not aiming at you, per se.

Controversial topics should be ok to discuss.  And they can be if those who cannot participate in the actual discussion would simply stay out of them.  Participation, in this context, meaning adding something constructive or positive to the thread.

Also note, the best way to kill a troll is to ignore it.  If no one wants to talk about a given topic and no one responds to it, then the troll goes away looking for another board to try and reaise the vile levels.

Not saying Chairboy was trolling, or anyone for that matter, simply using this time to point out how to kill a troll.  This is where most of the local posters have a problem.  They simply cannot resist jumping feet first into a controversial subject and make some rash comment.

I'd give anything if people would just stop doing that.  This board and forum would be a very cool place if it could happen.
