I assembled a P-61 Black Widow scale model a long time ago. I luv'em.

P.S. Did a PBY ever carry troops by chance? I don't see much use for it in here.

i remember a long time ago a Special event where we sent out Val's (I think) to pick up pilots who bailed sucessfuly. These rescued pilots were able to re-up. Be awesome to do that with PBY's.

only problem i see with P-61 is that i was designed as a night fighter.. meant to operate in the pitch dark. i mean sure you can fly it as a day time fighter in AH2 but historically it wasnt flown that way

its too slow to be a late war fight, it'd be used as a daytime JaBo, which is correct with respect to how it was used

After whatching the movie Midway. How about making an auto pby that hunts for enemy cv's and planes. It could display the enemy cv, for example, on the map when in visual proximity. It may be shot down by enemy and able to respawn after a time delay similiar to buildings.

P.S. Would like a P-61C for x-mas.

P-61 Armament:

4× 20 mm Hispano M2 cannon in ventral fuselage, 200 rounds per gun
4× 0.50 cal (12.7 mm) Browning M2 machine guns in upper turret, 560 rounds per gun
For ground attack, two bombs of up to 1,600 lb (726 kg) each could be carried along with six 5 inch (127 mm) HVAR unguided rockets under the wings. Some aircraft could also carry one 1,000 lb (454 kg) bomb under the fuselage.

I was also coming to lobby for the Catalina, good thing someone was already thinking that.

Flying Boat, Long Range, it's armed, carries 4k worth of bombs/torpedoes or supplies.

Hell just having an armed transport would be nice.
