As Hitech always strives to model elements of the game correctly, I still want to see the planes that were used on mainly grass/dirt strips, to be able to get successful landings anywhere on the base. I know, we have nice paved r/w's, but spits and many other a/c used grass/dirt almost exclusivly, and should be modeled as such in game. Just my 2 pfennigs.

Oz-  Unfortunately, HTC has said on multiple occasions that there will be no change to the ditch model...Landing on the runway adds more of a "challenge"...I can't say I agree with this at all...I personally think the ditch model should remain as is, if the base is flashing or an enemy is within a certain distance, but if it is a safe field, and no enemy within 20 miles or so, a sucessful landing should be able to be made anywhere within the basic confines of the field...I don't write the software though, so it's not up to me...As much as I hate to say it, we're all just going to have to deal with it.

One of my local DEs once said to me "For professional pilots, there are no runways, taxiways or airways, only centerlines"

Yup, even if it's only a slide off the r/w by a mere 3ft or so, due to damage, (missin' 1/4 of wing hehe) when you were tryin' to land some kills. Man, that's a hard landing!:lol
