Gameport Controllers

I have a CH Fighterstick and CH Pedals that I used back in the AW days, but they are both gameport peripherals.  Does anyone out there know of or use some sort of adapter that will allow me to use both on a PC that only has USB ports?  The machine is a laptop, so anyone who knows of a game port card that I could use would be great too.  Thanks!

You could also get a Create Labs Sound Blaster that has a gameport.

Contrary to popular reports, such cards can work just fine in a modern PC and Windows XP. I've been using my ancient Thrustmaster hardware for years in my current gaming rig this way...

The radio shack adapter will work with any gameport joystick. I don't know about the other one listed. The adapter has to be able to report that it's a joystick in order for Windows to recognize the device. Most old gameport joysticks are not capable of doing this themselves (MS Sidewinder is about it). MS used to have an adapter for gameport to usb that would only work with the sidewinders because of this.

depending on how 'handy' you are, this is the ultimate (or close to it):

This little puppy has enough buttons and axis to wire both stick, rudders, and throttle to the one unit.

Also, i sold (cheaply) my sqaudmate some of my old analog CH gear (combat stick, and throttle), and he converted the throttle into a USB one with an old saitek game controller he had lying around - he just transplanted the circuits and rewired the buttons and pots - works perfectly. He's going to do the same to the stick when he gets a donor USB stick.
