What a great night for my wife and I last night, both our kids got their respective trophy's for their respective sports, and we managed to split time between both parties.  A very proud moment for me was when 5 special trophy's were handed out at Gordon's End of Year party for Tackle Football, one of those special trophy's was Defensive Player of the Year.

Gordon earned it, that's certain! Congrats Gordon!

2 pics, 1st is Gordon last night with his trophy's and the 2nd is one of 12 QB sacks he had this year.  His total stats for defense were as follows:

9 games played
44 tackles
12 QB sacks
2 forced fumbles
1 fumble recovery
1 Defensive TD scored

This was NOT one of my best pictures, matter of fact I'm quite embarassed to even post it...however it is MY favorite picture of him this year, punishing a QB and forcing a fumble. This is a typical example of the intensity this 10 year old played with all year. Not bad for a kid that walked onto a football field 16 months ago and didn't know what a 1st down was...

And one more pic ...a hit on the tail back behind the line of scrimmage for good measure..

WTG!

Man how I love defence
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
