Voice Coms
« on: November 12, 2006, 03:25:19 PM »
Just got a new computer.  Having trouble getting voice coms up & running.
Went into Windows and performed mic check. Meter showing mic is working.  Playback is very sensitive with or without mic boost activated.  As I turn speaker volume up I get really bad playback.  When in Aces, I have adjusted voice volume, but squadmates and others say mic is very low.  I can hear others well.  Have tried all I know to try.  Help would be appreciated.

With your speakers active to listen to yourself on the desktop you will get feedback alot of times.  Turn off the mic for playback and leave it enabled for recording.  In the game turn yourself on the voice channel   .radio 5 .  This will help you be able to hear yourself.  Alt-Tab back out to the desktop and adjust the mic level up in the recording until you sound ok to yourself without breaking up due to overdriving.
