Film viewer stuck in Widescreen
« on: February 28, 2007, 09:28:15 AM »
Watched a film a few weeks back that appeared to be in the widescreen format. Now, all of my films play back in this format, which is a bit of a problem since I don't have one. How do I fix this?

Surely I'm not the only one to ever encounter this.

Did this happen when you maximised the Film viewer or have you simply accidentally dragged the window size so it looks like widescreen ?

Ops! I just found out my own film viewer always loads up the same size window no matter how much I have messed wiht the window size on closing it!

Maybe you are the only one to experience it

I bet you have tryed setting other it in other modes to see if it will reset, e.g. full sceen mode and maximised window.
Presumably all your other applications are running normally to ?

Sorry I'm purely guessing. If all else fails I would save all my settings files and films and try a re-install. Or as the Viewer ahfilm.exe file is only 1.7 meg let me know if you want me to upload my copy!

I can play films in full screen, and I can stretch the window vertically to get what appears to be normal ratios, but I cannot adjust the viewer horizontally (in fact, it's actually slightly larger than the viewable area on my CRT, hanging about 1/8" off the side), and it starts in widescreen whether I'm trying to open a film directly, or just starting the viewer up by itself. It's the damnedest thing.
