It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

If that moron would have asked me what was the best gun to shoot a jew with I probly woulda just recommended anything expensive to him too.

If he didn't tell the guy what circumstances the shooting was gonna be done then he deserves to not get the right firearm.

Diehard fan arent you?:rofl

Over my head.  What were you meaning to say to me?
I'm no fan at all, he irritates me more than anything else.  But I do like his personal flavor of purposefully playing pushover to see who will shove him hardest.
I'm a fan of chlorine in the stupid pool.

Nilsen, they knew right away it was all an act.  I'm not sure what their motivations were, in terms of the show's direction, but personally, I can tell they're neither hot nor cold to join into his jokes, they're really holding back for some reason that's just not natural to them.
I mean, they have a good sense of humor, but it looks like they just aren't allowed, for whatever reason, to go all out along with him.. They sympathize with his humor, but want the show to stay smart.
It's a little weak overall though, the weather girl had the best reply to his ******tery:
"I read you once played a role in [some classical French play], I'm surprised you kept the XVIIth suit all this time!" -  Nicely delivered, but she looks barely less bitter and humorless than the rest of the staff.

Straffo, it would've been more fun to see him on the set of Groland :)

Unintelligent ignorant idividual... if this is what British humor has come to, then that explains why you never see any of it on American TV anymore.

hey, you guys do all understand that it's an act right?

borat isn't real, he was a character that sacha came up with to make fun of other people. borat himself is only slightly funny. the FUNNY part of it all is that there are people who agree with his 'anti semitism' (sacha is actually quite strongly jewish), for us brits, we find the american attitude in the south funny as hell, and it just kinda shows how these guys really are.

borat is funny because of the reactions that he gets, not that funny himself.

i think that's what some people don't get about british humor, they don't see the real joke. of course, it helps to be british when you watch racist americans blurting on about shooting jews with a jew in disguise.

i guess it's just too complex and political for some...

The list of Comedies that I would quote are small.   You see, most people find Adam Sandler, dolts from Napolean Dynamite and Will Farrell funny, I do NOT find them funny.   I guess it comes down to "interpretation".   I refuse to see Napolean Dynamite upon "reviews from friends", most of the terms in the movie I and friends used in the 80's, alas South Park.

"Comedies to me are":

Monty Python Meaning of Life, Holy Grail
The Jerk
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Great Outdoors
Coming to America
Ace Ventura
and many others.

I just fail to see humor in Adam Sandler yelling "Alright!" in every movie he is in.

I love south park but i don't want to. I don't like matt and trey and i don't like how it blew up over night. But i cant stop watching it and laughing.

I hate ND, i rented it because of the buzz and didn't even watch it half way through, terrible. Borat might be funny, i saw clips and it seemed kind of funny but i don't like SBC. It might be like south park for me, i'll watch it and laugh but hate it be4cause it is stupid yet making me laugh.

Karaya I am loyal to adam sandler and that is why i watch his movies and laugh, he isn't really that funny it is the writing in the movies and situations that are funny, but i've watched him since the begginning. Will ferrel is heelarious. He wasn't at first but is now. I remember his cowbell days. He's come along way since then. The movies you listed are funny too, just a different generation of funny.

PS America has done a bunch of good stuff, way more then britin what has britin ever done?

wow, i forgot about ace ventura, i haven't seen it in a long time. if there was ever a movie that had me in stitches, that was it (the 1st one of course). all the monty pythons are hilarious, but my faves are brian and meaning of life, closely followed by holy grail.

coming to america, trading places and the beverly hills cop films were really great too, eddy murphy is the man. ahh, that's a good one too, the big lebowski :)

i love borat just because it's so different (i loved the ali G movie too :D)
