Trumpet winsock...
« on: July 26, 2000, 01:57:00 AM »
I've tried the eval version of Trumpet last night ,a friend of mine said that it would inprove my poor eureopen.V90 connection

I don't now why but it seems that AH didn't like Trumpet at All => White Screen and hard lookup

Is there anyone using modem connection using it ?

I do not reccomend you screw with networking components in the OS.  That is what Winsock does, replaces your Windows Sockets dll.  Bad idea.

Un-install that puppy pronto.

done Lephturn

But I can't see why AH can't stand Trumpet Winsock !
I'm programmer and I can use both standart winsock and trumpet without a change in my coding ...

Who knows...

However, AH likely has a much closer interaction with the networking bits than most other apps do.  With it using both UDP and TCP, and doing things like prediction, who knows what may be different.

Theoretically, Novell's client software won't make "any difference" either.  Yeah right. <G>
