The game freezes after i play a game.... It freezes forever and when i try and run it agian the screen stays all black....
any suggestions or answers???

i got Directx 7a and i got all updated drivers and i use voodoo1

Are you using the hi-res patch with it? Are you able to alt-f4 out or does it take a reboot?

I missed something. Do you mean that the game freezes after you try to exit out or while you're playing it?

it freezes while i am playing the game.....

How much RAM do you have? Also, how much available hard drive space? Sounds to me to be either a driver problem, or your system is running out of memory. Since you have the newest drivers, well...

how much hd space do i have all together or just the drive i got aceshigh installed in. i got 48 mb ram

Have you overclocked the cpu? When i do so while the weather is good, my puter frezes too.

Hence the large number of discoes I have

nope never overclocked it i got 122 mb free space on my c:/ (not were AH is installed)
114 D:/ (were ah is installed)

What's your display card?
I tried the GeForce 256 and could not keep it from locking up. Even bought a new motherboard and no relief. Got all the patches. Finally just took it out and chunked it across the room!
Went back to my voodoo3. Graphics not quit a lush but no problems with lockups.

Is the lockup occurring pretty regularly, i.e. after a specific amount of time? Also, what is your CPU?

it locks up randomly sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt i got a p150

I've got the exact same problem Choke. The game just randomly freezes when playing. Sometimes it just closes so that I'm sent back to desktop, but the game has stopped running. Other times it just freezes and there's no way out. I never get a black screen or something. Just froze. I heard it could have something to do with cpu temperature? That would be questionable because other programs work fine after i've been sent back to desktop.

I've got a PII400
128 Mb RAM
6 gig of free disk space
Diamond Viper V550

Please help,
