Updated Info. on Strat. System
« on: September 02, 2007, 10:34:53 PM »
Could we please have an announcement from On High about the current state of the Strat. System?  Ask the simplest of questions in the MA (i.e., How long does a FH stay down?  Can you resupply town - not city - structures? How much ord does it take to kill a VH? etc.) and you will get a variety of answers.

Could we please get an update - if needed - of the web site about Strat.?

Thanks!

Thats some good info, but I,m wondering if its a little outdated.

It still says the war will be won when ONE country is reduced to One base.

With all the changes that have been incorporated into the game, I wonder if that page has been updated also.

It would seem it isn't , at least in regard to the "how the war is won" thingie.

Kinda makes the rest of it a little suspect.

There hasn't been an update on the strat system in a long time, I'd say that page was accurate. You could add that the jeep carries 3 troops I think too.

Could we at least have some indication from HTC about the accuracy of the existing web site info, please?

You can look up all lbs need to destroy and downtimes yourself. Go offline, and examine default arena settings.
You will find that all lbs values do match the values given on webpage.

Also the down times of installations haven't changed.

Actually, it does not:

"Perk planes (and vehicles) would be things like Me 262s, Ta 152s, Tempests, B-29s, Ar 234s, Tiger IIs, etc."

"would be" - not "are"

Lusche this is a practical question. You know I "Bombrich" likes blowing up refinerys but if you had to pick the one strat target the bombing of which would most affect the game which one would you pick as most important? Even better can you list all of them in order of most desireble to bomb? Thank you.

In my opinion importance as follows:

I    (City) - Ammo - Ack
II   Dar - Troops
III  Refinery - Fuel is rarely porked at enemy fields and even when, it has no big effect

However, "important" being relative - Currently hitting the strat targets has not a considerable impact on gameplay.

For a maximum effect, you have to level enemy city first, then work on the individual strat targets, then pork the enemy field installations. Preferably you don't do that alone but with a few dedicated buff drivers on your side.
