The only thing good about the Blu Ray in this case is the amount of storage per disc. 25GB single layer/50GB Dual Layer. If the PS3 is a monster with horsepower, bet that the games (and other crap) are gonna use every bit of space they have available.

I won't buy one for the Blu Ray anyways - I like the games

For the same reason PS2 was supposed to be "a great DVD/Gaming combo" and wasn't. You CANNOT have both, one or the other. But, Sony can print ANYTHING they want the public to "believe".

Yep, backward compatibility issues that prevent the majority of PS2 titles to play without sound. Sony has already announced that at some future date they will put out an update but until the meantime, a Sony PR guru said that most players actually like to play their games without sound so which sounds like it's not a priority fix issue.

A. I don't have $500

B. I don't play consel games

C. The commercials for it are creepy and gave me nightmares
