what if I have multiple films of this guy doing the same thing , his ISP services only burped when ever he is on the losing side of a dog fight.  Is it cheating.    I can understand the guy that bails to preserv his life,  but the disco is a very different thing.  When the guy bails , you get credit for the kill, because you killed the plane,  But the way this guy discos it does not appear that you get credit for shooting down his aircraft.  That would appear to cheat you our of a kill and any point or stats or perks that go with it.  Is that cheating if what you do unfairly, affects another player.

Traveller, you're hammering this thread...and your only argument is that it "unfairly deprives a player of points or stats."

Yet you claim you dont care about points or stats.

Therefore, if someone deprives you of points or stats, he has taken away something you dont care about at all....as if he took your gum wrapper off the sidewalk, right?

So logically, we can demonstrate that this guy has not cheated you out of anything, he has cost you nothing.

Can we drop it now?

So I guess you answered your own question ... no need to discuss further.

I don't think its cheating, and apparently neither does HT. (He bans people for cheating; he doesnt ban people for disconnecting.)

It is, however, clearly lame.

However....in your situation, I have to wonder if the guy did it deliberately. Why wait till you're almost home? If you're going to do it, just do it! I cant think of a reason to do it in that circimstance, but a true accidental connection disco could happen anytime.

and BTW

If you dont care about scores and kills, well, I guess i simply dont understand why you'd care enough to start the thread... or care enough to keep posting and pushing the issue.

Just sayin

bacause I don't care about stats or scores , but I hate cheaters......  As for why he flew back to his base before he discoed, he had control of the aircraft as along as he flew fast, but when he started to slow down he lost control ,  he knew that he would crash and the kill would be recorded.  The method he uses to disco would seem to deni the victor the kill.  that to me is cheating, add to that the fact that he appears to disco routinly when losing a dog fight, makes me feel that this guy is a cheater.

Also, it's not the first time this guy has disconnected after being put in a losing position in a dog-fight.  I have additional film of him.

Can you prove he pulled the plug? I've had my connection act up on occasion and get disconnected. Sometimes several times on several days. It's been good lately though.

And it always seemed to be when I was in the saddle. At least those are the ones I remember the most. :D

When the guy behind me disappears, I don't remember those. I just shrug and assume he got discoed.

If he is doing it on purpose, he knows, and you know, that you beat him and he was just being a lame snot nosed kid.

i dont got enough perkies as it is and i like upen my lancs to kill 1 dang t 34 or wirble its fun droping 42 bombs

If you feel that strongly about it then use this support@hitechcreations.com  and let the horse die for gods sake. It's gamey, you've been told that..it's lame and you've been told that too, so use the link and send the film and let HTC determine what is and isn't cheating.

why is the AH community so obsessed over such silliness?  Look, some people have bad connections.  Some people cant get cable or dsl.  Some can only get cable or dsl from companies that are not as good as others.  Why does every warp lead to a barrage of accusations?  Chill out people.

That isn't cheating.   What FireHwk did, was cheating.   Two seperate issues all together.

The subject was "discos" , not "warping" and whether you think it is cheating?
