XPG Launcher v1.2 (Game Launcher)
« on: November 14, 2006, 12:10:26 AM »
I've made a WinXP game launching utility, that I've been working on in between 4 other projects.

ReDhAwK was good enough to post it for me at
http://www.il128.net/xpgl_v1.2.exe

If you want to use it, be sure to check preferences and set it up the way you like it. The folder cleaner does not, at this time, use exclusions. So if you have cookies you don't want wiped uncheck the Cookies folder in the "Empty Cache Folders" options. You can access all settings from the "Edit" button on the toolbar.

Processes XPG Launcher v1.2 will preform...

Reboot Computer
  Clear Page File

and\or

Close Active Windows
Terminate Idle Task
Close Desktop
End Process List
Empty Cache Folders
Free Memory
Run List
Start Game
Minimize Launcher
Close Launcher

It also comes with an bare bones *experimental* Web Server. Basically if you use a router you should be able to turn your PC into a Web server by directing the IP and port. I'm not sure if it will become useful, but I included it as a stand-alone for people to toy with.

(it could work with other OS,but not 98 or lower)

I get an error when I try to install in a message box:

C:\Program Files\XP Gamer\XPG Launcher\xpgl.exe
A decompression error has occured (#7)

File CRC mismatch - Data integrity error
[Abort] [Retry] [Ignore]
---
Any idea? Looks like a good program.

OK sorry, I am assuming that the upload was currupt or something is happening with compression in the DL. Some that got it from a private FTP had no problems.

If you like, email me at awaniml@yahoo.com and I'll email you a copy in a zip file. And if you also like, you can post it on another web site. I'm not out to make anything on it, it's a long time hobby. Most important that it yeilds results, so feel free to contact with with the slightest problems.

Like I said it may be something with the hosting server. So far I've only heard of problems from folks who DLed it there. I'll email redhawk and ask him if he can re-upload a fresh copy.
