Spinning clipboard
« on: November 16, 2006, 08:45:47 PM »
This was going on before the upgrade but maybe something can be done..

I will get a spinning clipboard if I exit AH then try to restart it.

It looks like this...

The only way to fix it, is to reboot my pc.

Any ideas??

I also have a AMD with 2Xprocessors and was having the same problem.  Download this patch and you will be golden.

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html

If you can't get this link to wook, go to the hardware/software forum and look for the AMD dual processor thread.

Install the CPU optimizer patch from AMD.

here...

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html

It's the way HT uses certain Win32 APIs.

"The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC"
