Just some sound advice, IMHO!
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Election year or no election year.
fuel prices drop just after the summer traveling season is over, then spike up again as winter heating and holiday traveling increases.
Go down again in  spring, then up again for the summer again.

Like clockwork

The elections have nothing to do with it

It probably has more to do with how much fuel we use during those time periods. then who is up for election

Why? Do you think the Dems will win back the house and raise taxes again?

I always find it funny that people think Bush can control the price of gas, even worldwide.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

HA funny I have worked in oil field for a wile. Here in Texas the oil or well natural gas rigs are still booming. I do know that they found a natrual gas poket off the coast Florida In the Gulf Of Mexico that is the largest in the world. They have sent a lot of off shore drilling rigs to it to start drilling this stuff up. The average cost of  a drilling rig running on land day to day is around 10,000 to 20,000 a day. The average pay rate of the guys on the rig is- Floor Hand 13.00 to 17.00 hr-Derrick Hand 20.00 to 25.00 hr- Driller 25.00 to 28.00 hr- Tool Pusher Around $8.000 a month. So no wonder why the prices of gas are so high. But the guys on the rigs get paid well because working on a drilling rig is not the best job in the world plus it one of the most Deadly jobs you can do. I've seen more guys killed on a drilling rig then I would like to count.
