I am most comfortable in a 1-hog against a 16 when
the 16 is catching me and I'm doing 380 plus in a dive.  He is dead meat!  The f4u-1 completely dominates the 16 at those speeds.  Maybe get widewing to do a test on manuverability of the spit16 against the 1-hog at 380 plus.  Most will be surprised at the results.  The only advantage a 16 has against a good hog pilot is the cannons.  If you let him get lucky chunking some of those 20mm tatertots at you, it's instant tower!:aok

I and some squaddies were flying them [38s] too. I pulled off a couple of really incredible shots, thanks to my rudder pedals... I also died 6+ times thanks to my stupid rudder pedals. I also blew 15 perfect shots (but who's counting?) thanks to them.

I hope the learning curve on these pedals is short!
