You happen to be using the USB connection option with a VIA chipset on the MB?  If you are there is a patch available.  If not, one look at the tech support site for the P Pro 2 should tell you how reliable this stick has been.    Too bad, looks like a pretty nice stick.  I was going to buy one, but after seeing the number of problems with it, I bought a Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3d.  So far it's worked great for me.  (Though some people seem to be having troubles with it.)

I have 5 New joysticks, 2 Motherboards, 3 Fighters Simms (FA, WB, AH) all of them EXCEPT AH recognize my JS whether i have it on USB or (Game Port of sound card) (although i couldnt rid it of spikes) or game port 8bit card. I HAVE SPENT 3 WEEKS COUNTLESS MANHOURS, MOTHERBOARD TWEEKS, NEW DRIVERS for everything, Installed 98 4.0IE, INstalled 98se2, W2K, (really i have  )
Im so PISSED about not finding a solution to AH JS problem that im ..... well....
thinking about buying a MAC
anyway enough venting......
those who could be so kind as to Help me... would be appreciated...
im very frustrated.
ok here is my system:
I have a soyo MB 133 mz via chipset with a 600eb III. (i also tried a DFI mb pa61 via chipset),  Ultra v770 agp, SB Live card pci, ethernet card realtek 8029 pci, 8bit game port,
2 ibm ata66 20gig drives,
I connect thru my network connection for DownLoad and a standard isp for Up Load using the Hughes satilite network.
Seems fine running AH under windows 98, although i occasionaly get some intermitten lock ups. Have not identified if this is Video problem or other issue on my system.
After upgrading to W2k, ive never had success with my wingman extreme digital, or my Thrustmaster Platnium, or my usb Top Gun JS. I can run other fighter sims fine in this configuration but not AH. I delete config files each time and follow installation procedures but to no avail.
Gota run but i will post more later
Regards,

Elvis

Have you gotten the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers?

Have you gotten the VIA USB patch for Win 98?

I know you did a bunch of drivers, but you NEED to have done those two particular updates to ensure things will work properly.

Its a known(?) bug that USB sticks don't work in win2k. I have the same problem with my usb pro pedals. Every other game sees them fine.

If you are having troubles with Win2k, go grab Dirext X 8 for Win2k.  It is supposed to increase support for controllers.  It also gave me a big speed boost.  Woohoo!
