Whenever I try to find out a good scaling for something I run into problems duplicating it in the other modes. If you don't duplicate an axis properly, when you toggle between modes you will "kick" into the new scaling, then back when you toggle back.

This happened before when I'd tweak my rudder scaling. The only way to eliminate the "kick" when you switch modes is to "copy mode 1". The problem? It re-maps all your buttons! An 8-way hat and 9 buttons = 17 buttons. Forget about folks with more complex setups!!

It's a real pain in the neck. Now that I'm working with rudder pedals I need to find the right scaling. I've had to "copy mode 1" 3 times in the past couple of days, and remap all my mode 2 buttons 3 times as well.

Can we just have a "copy this axis from mode1" or even how about a "lock the first 4 axis across modes" option? Something where I don't have to re-scale in every mode I want, and something that won't un-map my buttons every time I need to copy the input scaling.

How's about it? Would this be possible?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to remap my buttons many many more times in the process of getting my rudder pedals fine-tuned.

im sure there used to be a .cfg file in the AH folder that had these settings.... but i cant find it.... maybe cos it changed since the new control setup.

it used to have numbers like this:

4000, 10000, 0, 10, 25 35, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95, 100
4000, 10000, 0, 10, 25 35, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95, 100
4000, 10000, 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100
4000, 10000, 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100

which was something like deadband, damping then the scaling range, X,Y,Z, and throttle axis

Cant find it anywhere.

ok i think i found the file, mine is called

saitekx52flightcontroller.jsm

yours will be named whatever its called your stick

its in the AH/settings folder.

BACK IT UP FIRST.

open it with notepad and inside it has:

thats the X axis. The numbers in bold are the scaling settings, the NOTUSED part i would *think* are the different modes you want to set. I dont know, i only have 1 mode setup. yours might be like this if you have 3 modes set:
