Losing the mouse
« on: November 16, 2006, 08:41:36 AM »
I'm not sure it's a bug, in fact I'm quite willing to beleive it is operator error of some kind, but I keep losing my mouse cursor in game. It happens maybe once every hour or so, maybe two. When I alt-tab out to Windoze it is there, so I don't think it is a driver issue. Only way I know to get it back is to alt-f4 (since I cannot click on the interface) and reload the game (without reboot).

Any ideas of what I should look at?

The mouse I use is a Razer, connected via USB, not through an external hub or keyboard.

press "H" on keyboard, see if that helps... for me, it locks and unlocks the mouse.

I flew a couple of hours last night waiting to try the "H" key but never lost the mouse. Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep it in mind for the future if it happens again.

H key is the default toggle to switch mouse between "Flight Mode" (stuck cursor, controlling the plane) and normal "Game Interface Mode". When you play with Joystick, you do not need that function. To avoid further problems, i recommend simply unmapping the key (under Global - Mouse Control Toggle).
