Ghosting is a problem with some LCD's. A CRT will always have a better picture....

All that being said the newer LCD's are awful good. You can now get LCD's with 2 ms refresh rates. Anything under 12 is generally considered acceptable and 4 is the current standard. Mine is 8ms and I almost never have any ghosting issues....

I just got one of these with a 6ms refresh rate:
Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP

it is better than the 930B 19" samsung lcd (8ms) it is replacing but not as good as the sony 19" CRT I had before. Very close a2a combat gives a blur/smear. I do not think any lcd can provide as fast/sharp a picture that the crt can today.

Mine is new as of last Christmas, and it does that. It's not "blur"... it's "bleed". The colors are there, and as they move, it takes time for the old color to fade and the new one to appear. That's the refresh time.

It's a problem with LCDs.

The good news is that you won't notice it after a few months. You'll acclimate to the condition. If you ever go back to CRT and then back to your LCD, you'll have to reacclimate.

Are you using the native resolution of your LCD ?

Example if your LCD resolution is 1280*1024 any resolution below will look blurry
