Combating Spys by Limiting Radar Display

I think spys are getting to be a problem.  I would like to see an option where we could turn off our radar dot for freindly units.  Sort of like how we turn tracers on and off.  We would still show up when we were in an enemy radar ring, and would still show up as a bar if we were high in a sector, but if we could turn off the dot that shows us to other friendly units, spys could not see us.

Well, now...

That's an interesting, and very original request.

I don't now if I LIKE it... But I grant that it's got merit. I like seeing where friendlies are (mind you I'm not a "spy"), so I can judge where a good fight is, see what's going on, see if anybody is defending field "X" and so forth.

If you still showed up on dar bar as friendly green, that would be a great suggestion.

No offence, but I don't like this idea at all.

I like being able to see where a good scrap is taking place and if a buddy needs help anywhere.

So have your buddy have his dot show on radar.

He is asking if you can choose to show or not show your radar dot on the map whenever you wish.  Maybe have it an option in the hanger before you up.

Make it part of the mission planer. Have a check box for "Covert Mission".

Also have private missions that only show up for squadies.

spying is more of a problem now, because you can change countries back and forth with only a one hour wait.   bring back the 24 hour or 48 hour wait.   It was originally changed because HT thought side balancing would take place.  Well it doesn't .  sides are still very loopsided.  There are a few that change countries to help balance sides, or so they calim, but are hey spys? who knows.

Increase the wait period between changing sides in any of the EWA, MWA or LWA arenas.  72 hours may be just about right.
