Hitech said there'll be a patch tomorrow (I think tomorrow) to fix this.

I noticed my hard drive goes crazy during the stutters.

Sounds like texture thrashing to me, however, I do have a 256MB gfx card, with only 100MB used.

Well, nothing has fixed the freeze frame problem so far.  The update to the update to the update, at this point, has my frame rate down to 9-16 if there is more than 12-15 planes in the air around me.  I enjoyed pushing and pulling the nose of my plane up and down just to watch the contineous little stutters.  Reminds me the last time I was on Valium.  LOL

I have a top end machine (P4-3.0ghz, 1Gb RAM, 7800GS video, high-end DSL with Ethernet connection. Prior to this round of updates it ran regularly at 70-75 fps and never below 60.  Also, I checked my system tonight and my CPU was contineously pegged at 100% with everything else shut down on my system.  The game was not playable so I left a squad night because I couldn't see anything coming at me or going away, let alone shoot at it.

This will be the game killer for me if it isn't brought back to some reasonable level of gameplay soon.

This is not just my machine either, everone in my squad tonight reported the same low frame rates, freezes and stutters.  In addition, everybody is complaining about getting these freezes and stutters all day long.  It is epidemic.

Is there any solution?  Or, how long until this is fixed?  If it's going to be awhile, I'll cancel until the repairs are made.  Won't pay not to play.

P-4 2.2
gig of ram
Nvidia Mx 4000

My machine ran 60-70 FPS before updating to last version. I've loaded the patch and it helped a little, runs around 30 FPS now. Even then I get stutters, in a low multi-plane fight I seem to take a big hit from something on my graphics card. I've seen it drop to 4 FPS. To me I have a middle of the road performance PC.

This is becoming unflyable for me. I even tried to do GV a little. I was getting killed before the terrain would finish loading on my fe. Like I stated before, prior to the new version all was fine.

Was all this the result of the new version ?. Are the people experiencing problems all doing something wrong like using the same vid cards ?. If its a reasonable fix on my end I'd like to fix it. I've spent many hours the last few days reading BBS posts, trying shared remedies so that I can enjoy my "recreation".

I've tried literally every reasonable possible remedy posted on the boards.

I've read entirely to many posts in my search for this issue, hoping maybe somebody just posted it in the wrong BBS. Is it possible to roll back the Version ?. It seems a lot of us have the same issue.

Respectfully Rikitic
