I almost hate to bring this up, as I remember all the weeping and gnashing of teeth last year when the last notch of P-38 flaps acted as a drag anchor...
But...
Looking for something else in the P-38 POH the other night and stumbled upon this little missive..."adding up to 50% flaps will increase your maneuverability. Beyond 50%, they begin to act as speed brakes..."
Just curious as to the discrepancy, and not looking to get the P-38 "porked".
