i got in a rather nasty dogfight with storch in a Ta152 and i think it was bear in a La7 the other day.... i
was fighting storch when i saw the La7 below us in our TnB fight... i pulled off from storch to try and gain a bit more E, and see how fast the La7 was. La7 was fast so i had to turn back and fight the 2on1. I was getting low on fuel at this point so i was turning rather well...
anyway, the LA7 pinged me once, then overshot and died. The noise sounded like proper damage, and looking behind me i could see fuel leaking. Knowing i was low, and on only 1 tank, i instantly thought ****!... however looking at the damage list nothing was damaged.... I continued to fight storch who musta thought id be out of fuel in a few minutes... killed him and set max cruise, shallow dive home (it was nice to be in a dogfight that didn't instantly end up on the deck).
so anyway.
Visual Fuel leak trail but no damage to tanks. Not sure if its a F4u4 fault, or the whole line of new F4u's.
