You shouldn't be a fan.
Remember Chi. vs. Ari.? Good thing those Bears didn't give up.
Yep and they almost blew it at the end of the game too.
from the broadcast I heard on the internet it sounds like they shoulda lost too if not for a bad call ruled in favor of Minn on an Arizona reception that was ruled incomplete
Other then attitude. Childress does not impress me
I've been a fan for the better part of 30 years now. Through the purple people eaters and through the Les Steckle days.
the one thing I dont do. is kid myself about them
right now Minn is a mediocre Team. an overall decent defence that has breakdowns in stopping the pass.
Offencively they have a decent running and short game with a marginal deep threat passing and an overconservative coach with a bad habit of becomming ultra conservative (read Timid) in the red zone.
and is so stuck on his "system" That he refuses to deviate from it even when its obvious it isnt working well with the players he has.
You have to adjust the scheme to fit your players. Not force players to fit your scheme.
and with the right players at the right positions his Scheme works great
Cept while Taylor is good and johnson is smart. Neither is Montana like or Craig like. and we sure as hell dont have anyone Jerry Rice like
big deal they beat the Cardinals. They also almost blew it too.
Point of the matter is they souldnt have just beaten the cardinals. they should have destroyed the Cardinals.
Just as the Bears should have destroyed the Cardinals
The Bears played down to their opponents.
The Vikings against the Cards played the Childress game
And against the Cardinals it largely worked. because... The Cardinals arent a very good team
Childess claimed that "the majority of games won in the NFL are won or lost by one score"... eh...maybe
Just did a quick check. Since week 1 to date, something like 83 games have been decided by 8 or more points and 82 games have been decided by 7 points or less.
Now if you toss in some of the meaningless scores made such as the last min score by Min against Miami when the game was already decided.
That stat probably drops even farther.
Now if all your concerned with is staying within that 7 point margin. Then yea. you will be "in every game"
But you will be playing more to not loose then to win.
For as well as its defence has been playing
Minn currently has one of the NFLs worst scoring offences (Ranked 27th) Averaging just over 1 offensive TD a game
Now it doesnt take a rocket scienist to figure out that no matter how well your defence is playing your not going to win many games even close ones against good opponents by scoreing only 1 TD per game.
Now while I will always Root for the Vikings to win.
So long as they keep playing the way they have been playing. I dont have a whole lot of faith that they will win
LMAO chicago didnt deserve to win that game. And shouldnt have.
the Bears didnt win against Arizona
Arizona gave it to them
