I like getting feedback from 'normal folk' and not the usual muso's here in NashVegas -

I posted a new song I just recorded/produced on my website called 'You Remain' if anyone wants to listen. Its a slower tempo acoustic ballad - I did the gtrs, bass and bgv's

My 2 cents:

Great production, great playing, great singing.

Song, kinda boring, no hook, even for a ballad.

I'd like to hear something with a little more meat to it.

I'd give it 7 out of 10 only for the fact that the song to me isn't that memorable, but I did like it on the whole.

Eminem - although way overrated - is tolerable -

The video however was just boring.

I can stomach that since i didn't write it - but the person that did write it has made about $300,000 from that song alone. . .

This song appeals to me since it doesn't follow the everyday cookie cutter formula of country songwriting - It was initially a bluegrass song, so I guess that explains part of the lackluster chorus. It doesn't get much more to the point than that though.

Hi Black Sheep,

Nice tone on the acoustic leads.

My taste would be a little more bottom; meatier bass and a more constant or distinctive drum pattern with more toms and bass, but that is just me.

Overall, I think it's nicely done and easy on the ears.

totaly far away from my style of music, but as a 'bedroom musician/DJ' (IE not getting paid very often) i can appreciate the talent involved.

so, not my cup of tea, but a very good production none the less, pats on the back from me well done!
