screen/game freezes

this seems to be getting worse over the last couple of days..... I have also noticed that when I key up to use my mic, it causes a game freeze for up to 2 seconds.... I have all current drivers on my vid card....  I know its been posted before, but wanted to add the part about the vox also causing the freeze

Actually, if the freezes happen when you key your mic, his sounds more like a sound card issue.

I had a similar problem myself a few months back. It turned out it was the "Use Wave in" setting in OPTIONS > PREFERENCES > Voice (i think). Try changing it from what it is now, i cant remember if mine was checked or not.


The other thing i would check is your hardware accelleration in dxdiag/sound tab.
