It appears the Germans didn't have the U.S. secret, Duck Tape. If the germans had Duck Tape, they could have taking that sight, and taped it to the windscreen. I guess the reason for the close up seat, was for better accuracy shooting? I don't know, but does anyone know why the pilots face is so close?

I think the cockpit was so small because it reduced the frontal profile..... although if you had a plane with a big arse 75 mm gun underneath then it doesnt matter about frontal profiles
