Game lockin up

Ok for the last week one of the files in the libry for RUNDLL cant be found windows tells me. Game was runing fine Tho with out it at the time. So to fix the RUNDDL problem, i was told to reinstall WINDOWS 98.  Now tonight i was going to run Aces High and it goes to white screen and comuputer locks up. I cant even do the ctrl alt del command, I end up haveing to hit restart on the case. I have tried it many times. Need help if you would please.   Thanks

What type of video card are you using?  Did you reinstall your drivers and DirectX?

PC moron here but.....

Have you tried deleting the file "video.cfg" in the settings folder inside aces high. This should force the program straight to the Video selection screen. (I had this problem once when I selected a combination my card couldn't handle).

Rename your old video.cfg first though as a precaution.

Reinstalling Windows replaced my Direct X. Got it back to 7.0 and where back and running.     Thanks a bunch to for the help.

7a is better than 7.0.  A 250k patch is available to go to 7a at www.microsoft.com/directx

Thanks for the info Bloom. I do have a question does any one know how to fix the RunDll problem. I cant figure out if its a Windows based file or from somthing other. Sorry this is not a AH question and so far is not efecting anything on the computer that i use. But if any one can help me on it i would be happy to go out and buy them a beer.
