New Base Take Method

HT has pretty much stated that he'll put as many troops as you want in the C-47s, but you'll always need exactly 1 C-47 to take the base. Catch my drift?

Well then lets all start a petition for 1 soldier (even though they look like pilots) per goon.  That would of course be rediculous.  Is it so much to ask though for 8 troops needed and 10 in the goon?  Just to have a couple extra.  All it takes is one guy in a 262, or one person with nothing better to do sitting in the map room to mess up a whole offensive.  Have the troops shoot back, and have a little surpluss, and give that guy in the maproom something to fight for!

Another idea is this:  Maybe keep the number at ten, and keep it ten per goon, but give goons the ability to have formations.  It would make escorting them to target more crucial, as they wouldn't be able to manoever as much,  but would make vulchers at capture less of a factor.

I just think there's a way that the base capture in this game could be made a lot more fun, balanced and (dare I say?) realistic.

You have to realize that it's your JOB to keep the fighters away and to strafe the maproom. The whole point it's 10/10 with no formations is that you need to have the coordination to keep the fighters away or down, tanks dead or kept away, and the maproom strafed. It's about balance. If you make it too hard to defend a field, people won't try to defend them any more.

Another thing about goon formations; bring three goons. Solved.
