I think it's great that the Navy isn't being PC about it, and holding people accountable for their actions. I don't what the big stink SF is making over it if they didn't want the Iowa and a Navy museum there in the first place.

Don't forget the city voting to end JROTC in high schools


I think good on the Navy, they shoulc cancel fleet week there as well.

how do they figure a city that hosts Fleet Week doesnt support the navy? friggin brass watch the news too much.

but they DO support the revenue Fleet week probably generates

Newport used to be a great navy town, with the War College, NUSC SWOS, etc...we even built a bridge specifically with enough clearance for carriers to pass underneath, until someone decided to move all our warships out to San Fran...

"Blood Alley" hasn't been the same since
