I'd haveto agree here.
Particularly when parked under large concentrations of trees they should be next to impossible to spot from the air by anything but really low and really slow moving fighters and certainly shouldnt be able to be spotted by bombers in time enough to be bombed by them

But I dont mind to much the low level bombers comming in. when Im in the open. in fact I almost prefer it that way.
B-17 and lancs dont hold up well against AP rounds from the the main gun of a tank.:D

The real problem is the black dot syndrome.

Things that are far away are a black dot.  Regardless of color or background.  This goes for planes and GV's.

I like that idea!!

yup, think of Normandy.... Allies have control of the skys, and Panzers basically cant MOVE.......they just have to hide all the time.

Then think of The battle of the bulge.... Allied air power grounded... panzers roll!!!! :)

First of all:  I spot the black dot long before I see the icon.  Vehicle moving over open ground with enemy CAP is supposed to die.  It's the natural order of things.

Second of all: it's a game, and some allowances need to be made.  In RL we don't have icons drifting over us.  In RL we would have "better graphics" from Mark I eyeball, hours going over recognition cards, and would not expect this varied a plane set in our AO.

Third: We also don't have 3-man, squad, and platoon level patrols in those woods, or checkpoints, or country farm girls to report they see enemy activity out there.  We have "enemy inbound", and flashing map icons.

Get your GV under cover.  Get it into a barn.  Park against a cliff.  Use the terrain to your advantage.  Barrel straight in from spawn to target over open ground against a base that still has ORD.... you die.   Virtual Darwinism at work.  "The kid who swallows  the marbles when he's young does not get to grow up to have kids of his own."
