Apologies from 65th
« on: November 18, 2006, 01:15:37 AM »
Sorry for the no-show Axis.....My internet was down and couldn't connect til about T+90...at which time I logged on and found that none of us have shown up. This is the second time this has happend in 3 tours for us. This is due to the lack of us having a reliable XO. That being said, I feel it would be unfair of us to continue in FSO in this fashion and at the conclusion of this tour of FSO, the 65th will not participate an as independent unit until we can find someone to step up and be XO (in a true sense).

If there are any squads out there have that same kinda problem (not having an XO), I have a decent resume'.:D . At any rate we will be looking for a squad that would be willing to have 3-4 extra pilots for a while.

No i'm not publicly outing my XO, I'm trying to explain that in reality my XO is really just a second email address and I know he dosent have the time   to dedicate to "really" being XO . Plz understand I'm not throwing my XO under the bus. I'm just saying that we have really never had an XO.

If you need it you can fly with the Nightmares until you guys are ready to fly under your own colors again.

May I suggest combining with the Rogues (a 2 person squad) and having Dux as your XO or CO?  I know Dux chose to sit this Tour out, but maybe he'd be interested in the December tour?

Actually that is a much better idea. Dux is a class act and would allow you guys to bolster your numbers together.

If that or flying with another squad doesn't work drop me a line. But forHim's suggestion has a lot of merit.

ForHim's got a great idea, but if you ever want to fly with the USMC, feel free to contact me.  Our numbers have slipped a bit lately as well, but we have a core group of guys that will fly FSO till the end of time, and we would be happy to have other dedicated pilots fly with us.

That is a pretty good idea. I'll run it by Dux and see what he thinks.

Hey Dace & Dux Somehow or other I got added to your group for the FSO. Received an email notifying me, I've C&P'd the gist of it below. I omitted the side a ride preference since this is a public bd, wasn't sure how you'd feel about sharing that info.

Squadname: 65th FS ~Fightin' Rogues~
> Commitment Level:
> Active: Y
> Side Preference:
> Ride Preference: :)
> CO: Dace
> XO: Dux
> 3rd: Rick Schiver

No offense guys, I have the utmost respect for both of you, but on the rare occasion when I do get to fly FSO, I hang with my squad. Just wanted to let ya know so there would be no misunderstandings.

Probably just a site ID# mixup, we'll take care of it.

No offense taken. :)
