just wanted to say thanks for the fights in the DA the other day with TW9.
AAR as follows: met in DA and rolled F6Fs with 25% fuel. first merge i got the better of TW as he blacked out and we decided on a remerge without the need to destroy the planes and fly so far again. AFter this i really had wished that i had shot him down that first chance, because i didnt get another one LOL.
we had about 4 or 5 very decent F6F fights and both of us worked on as tight an attack as possible moving instantly from merge right into very close rolling reversals, yo-yos and rolling scissors. although i managed to work a few chances and ping him up a bit, TW's technique was so difficult to respond to, and his gunnery was superb. give away one chance and i was dead meat. I lost everyone of these fights fair n square, and have reviewed the films alot to see how i could have improved. on the last F6F fight following TWs advice about my merge i
lastly we fought in P51Bs, and despite my merge winning me valuable vertical seperation, i might even say i had him roped' somehow TW managed to avoid my shots undamaged and after another long and tense turnfight he made good of a solution as i looked up and back in silent acceptance of my impeding death!
thanks TW, i really enjoyed be schooled like a noob again, hope we can do it again and you can teach me the finer points of dueling in the American muscal birds!
