I'm thinking about replacing my tube HDTV.  It's obvious that tube TVs can't be use for PC display because of "burning images"

Which type of display would you recomend as HDTV and PC monitor...?

Rear projection LCD/DLP

or

Flat panel LCD/DLP

?

I'm using a rear projection TV 50" widescreen with HDMI input. Been told that if you go over 50" rear proj. DLP is way to go. under LCD. Be sure it has HDMI input  for clearest picture.

I use my HDTV about 100% of the time as a computer monitor.  I'm using a Westinghouse LVM-37W3 37" 1920x1080 direct view LCD.  It works great as a monitor.  Text is super sharp like with any LCD computer monitor.  It has a plethora of ports: 2 DVI ports, an HDMI port, component, composite, and VGA.  However, it lacks an HD or SD tuner, so I need a cable box if I want to watch HDTV.  I thought about going with a rear projection set for even larger view but clarity of the text suffers compared to direct view.

I guess you haven't seen the text on an HP DLP at 1920 x 1080p.;)
