I play an Ibanez artist series or a les paul studio through a mesa head running through a marshall 4 12 cab. I have a digitech pedal with alot of effects, but I don't use it..
I play drums mostly these days...I have a ludwig set with a mix of cymbals mostly zyljian crashes with a sabian high hat and a paisti heavy ride, I have a pork pie snare that I will keep until the day I die. I have a fender P-bass, but I haven't played it in a while.

As a composer's tool, yes, it is amazing.  To me, as a musical instrument, has always bore me to tears.  The pianoforte/fortepiano to me isn't very expressive, even with a maestro at the keys.

P-bass wouldn't happen to be for sale, would it?

I want to learn the bagpipes, but am too lazy to do the pumping, so perhaps I'll buy an air compressor :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Mozart on piano is sublime.

Unfortunately I don't find it nearly as expressive as, say, Stevie Ray Vaughan playing "Lenny" on a Strat.

Sorry Nuke, never have been a piano fan, never will be.

PS - I had to study that piece in Classical Music Appreciation class in college.  Me and the first chair alto sax re-arranged it for Jazz.  Funny little piece, it yielding some good things!

To me, that SRV clip is boring. I hate that kind of basic blues formula. Its great playing, but such a boring blues formula.

I've never really been a SRV fan period.  Part of that is because he only gets 1 or 2 songs that get normal radio play on the oldies station here and....just don't like his "sound".  Other then that I keep a pretty open mind about music.  I think I might get a banjo or ukulele sometime, maybe a resonator guitar.  Still need to learn how to play guitar and harmonica semi well though.

Blues formula boring?  Ok.  But you do realise it's the basis of rock'n'roll which we all hold so dear?

I, IV, V progression is simple.  It's what you do with it that seperates the wannabe's from the true greats.  Without that boring, simple blues formula we'd have no British Invasion.
