Help, if you can...
« on: January 12, 2007, 08:01:08 PM »
I dont know if this is the right place, but I figured Id give it a go. For some reason, when I submit a reply or even make a new post, it doesnt automatically subscribe me to it like it used to... I know its a simple deal to manually click subscribe, but after months of not having to, ive gotten quite used to it, and cannot for the life of me remember to click 'Subscribe to this thread'. Any ideas as to how to fix this?

The Forums have been moved to a new server. The redirect from the old link have been messing witht he cookies/automated login.

Heres the new link (in case you do not have it already):
http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/index.php

It is the only link that will work (to access the BBS without the menu banner from the homepage).

Of course you can always access the BBS through the hompage under Community > Forums.

Also, if you block cookies in your browser settings (only allowing certain pages), you will have to allow the new Forum Server http://forums.hitechcreations.com - the same goes if you use any cookie deleting software (like Crap Cleaner).

Alright, but again, does this cause me to automatically subscribe to the threads I post in again?

That won't fix your issue...

Do this...

1) Log into the forums
2)Click the User CP button near top of the forum frame
3) Click the edit options link
4) Set the "Use 'Email Notification' by default? option to no
5)Click the Submit Modifications button at the bottom of the User CP page
6) Enjoy a slightly less full Inbox...

:aok

Ahhh, sorry. I misunderstood you. I thought you were talking about not staying logged into the BBS.

Im not sure theres an option in the UserCP that automatically subscribes you to threads. The only thing I can find is have the Forum send me emails when a reply is made.

Otherwise, id suggest emailing Skuzzy.

Maybe a stupid question.... but are you sure the emails are from the "Serenity" account, not the "Reynolds" one?

100%. They start with "Hello Serenity". And I never clicked e-mail under reynolds either...
