Either way, it's well worth your time to carefully read and think about this essay, an excellent summary and perspective of U.S. power and Middle East intricacies the past decade.

Interesting read.

A question is how will we deal with Iraq when it becomes an Islamic theocracy and the pawn of Iran? We have learned through this that we cannot force democracy upon a middle eastern country. However, that does not mean we can't obliterate any government which would overtly seek our or our allies destruction. They should never forget that and neither should we.
