My personal favorite when I'm not feeling the jack and coke is some good ol' 7 and 7, Seagrams and Seven Up.

As for cocktails for girls? Appletini's.

A couple good cocktails that the ladies like, fits the occasion
and quite easy to make

Bellini-
Glass of Champagne or Sparkling wine with a dash of Peach Schnapps and Peach Necter

Kir Royal-
Glass of Champagne or Sparkling wine with a dash of Chambord,
garnish with lemon peel twist

Normal Kir:
Glass of white wine or sparkling wine with a dash of Creme de Cassis.

Poor man's black velvet:
1/2 a glass Guinness, and fill up with cyder!
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
