IL-2 Bombs
« on: December 28, 2006, 09:57:51 AM »
Seems like the 100 lb bombs on the IL-2 pack considerably more punch than the 100 lb-ers on say, b-17's or P-47's.

I can take out a panzer with the IL-2 100 lb bomb but need at least a 500lb-er it seems with other planes.

100 kilogram bombs on the IL-2, a kilo being a little more than a mile, that works out to roughly 3 bushels of bombs.

Oh ya, duh.  100kg bomb equals 220 lbs (kg=2.2lbs)

Anyway, just ignore this post, should be under general discussion anyway, not help and training.  Couldn't delete it tho.
