Really good WW2 guncam video
« on: December 27, 2006, 07:45:25 AM »
I've seen lots of guncam footage and I gotta say this is one of the best compilations for sheer variety. Air to air, fighter vs bomber, air to ground, fighter versus figher pretty much everything.

Enjoy!

Interesting that many of the fighters attacked, barely reacted to coming under fire. They made easy targets. I suppose that's why they featured on gun camera film. They were not the aces. Just the aces fodder.

The other videos on the site were almost as interesting in showing the Bundewehr wearing their Fritz helmets and looking spookily like their Grandfathers.  One wonders what would happen if the German government had the guts to let them loose on the Taliban. I daresay the German fighting spirit has not declined much in these years.

Lots of interesting shots in there.
There you actually have wings breaking off, and Spitfires outturning the shooter.
Sort of like AH :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
